Kenton Gray's passion for motorsports first ignited as a new born when he
sat on his father's flat-track dirt bike at the track. The sweet smell of
2-cycle race fuel even today brings back those vivid memories of his early
years racing on the dirt tracks in his home state of Oregon. Since the age
of 10, Kenton has been winning poles, races and championships in every
series and division he has entered from Go Karts, Legends Cars and Super
Late Model Stock Cars which has given Kenton the ability and opportunity to
continue his development in America's top stock car series, ARCA RE/MAX
Series and NASCAR Busch Series beginning in 2007.
During his college years, Kenton moved from Oregon to Southern California in 1998 to further his
education in public relations, marketing and finance. During this time he
laid out plans to create a winning motorsports program and kick-start his
professional racing career. In January 2001, he founded Freedom Motorsports
Group, Inc. Of the many experiences during this time that would prove
invaluable in the future was the unique experience and perspective gained
from being in and around the entertainment industry, and learning the business
from all aspects, including film & TV production.
Always an entrepreneur with an eye for opportunity, Kenton saw that the key
to success in motorsports was the recognition that it is a business that
depends for its success upon the success of others. From an early age,
Kenton was taught that "you win when you help others win" and as much as he
fought this idea in his younger years it has become the basis for all his
successes in business.
Kenton has a very unique background that includes being a US Marine, public
speaker, sales trainer, founder and entrepreneur, spokesperson and in 2006,
becoming an instructor at the new LA Racing Experience at Irwindale Speedway in
southern California.
With ARCA testing and negotiations under way for entrance into the Busch series in 2007, the future looks very bright for Kenton and his dream. |
